Cory Hansen is in his second year with the Yellowjackets Baseball team. Hansen is currently teaching at Columbus Middle School and earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Dickinson State University in 1995 and a master’s of science degree from Walden University in 2007.
Hansen is the General Manager and Babe Ruth Coordinator during the summer for the Dickinson Legion Baseball team in Dickinson, North Dakota. He was the head coach of the Laurel Dukes, Billings Cardinals, Billings Scarlets and the Dickinson
Roughriders. As the head coach of the Billings Scarlets, Hansen led the team to 3 straight Legion state championships, runner-up finishes in 2004 and 2005, while winning in 2006 with a 52-10 record and second best record in Scarlet history.
As the head coach of the Dickinson Roughriders in 2007 and 2008, Hansen delivered the City of Dickinson its first-ever legion championship in 2008. As the Scarlets coach, Hansen had a combined record of 171-65 (.724) and later went on to Dickinson (76-42). Coach Hansen has a combined record in legion baseball of 508-183 (.735) winning percentage.
Hansen is married to his wife Rona and has a daughter Pier who resides in Dickinson. |
